December 2020 – Please join us in congratulating our newest Lieutenant, Doug Barron. Lieutenant Barron joined OFR in June 2018 and was sworn in as a firefighter in December 2018. Lieutenant Barron started his firefighting career in December 2000 as an Airman in the United States Air Force. He has served the last 20 years on active duty as a firefighter and is currently a Master Sergeant. While Lieutenant Barron only joined OFR a few years ago, he has previously served in the positions of firefighter, driver operator, company officer, battalion chief and currently serves as Assistant Chief of Operations at Scott Air Force Base Fire Department. Since joining OFR he has assisted with the OFR Explorer Post and enjoys training and growing the next generation of firefighters.
